Nigerian singer and rapper Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has expressed his disappointment over the betrayal he faced from individuals he introduced to the music industry.

Taking to social media, the Shake Body crooner reflected on how some artists he once supported turned their backs on him. Despite the setbacks, he remains grateful for God’s faithfulness, stating that his good deeds have not gone unnoticed.

Skales emphasized the importance of prayer and faith, revealing that his late mother had always advised him to trust in God no matter the circumstances.

Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “One day I’ll sit down and tell you a story of how a lot of people turned their backs on me, including people I helped build up in this industry.

But guess what? God never failed me even when I was isolated… Don’t you ever stop praying and trusting God with everything you’ve got… Best advice my mom gave me!!!”

While he did not mention specific names, Skales’ message highlights the challenges of loyalty and trust in the entertainment industry.

One day I’ll sit down and tell you a story of how Alota people turned their backs on me including people I helped built up in this industry but guess what God never failed me even when isolated … don’t you ever stop praying and trusting God with every everything you got… best…

In a series of posts shared on January 20, 2025, the singer expressed his lack of sympathy, citing a traumatic experience he and his family had with the EFCC in 2023. Skales suggested that the officer’s death was inevitable, given the EFCC’s approach to operations.

He wrote, “It’s quite unfortunate that someone lost his life, but they had it coming. Imagine the trauma my family and I still face till now.”

“I should be feeling bad, but I actually don’t. They had it coming. Imagine if I hadn’t kept my cool that day—they would have probably twisted the story and shot me or something. I will never forgive them… they had it coming,” he added.
