Nigerian singer Victony has expanded the reach of his hit single SLICK, bringing American music stars Don Toliver and Summer Walker on board for a new remix that blends Afrobeats with contemporary American sounds.

Produced by Ozedikus, the revamped version gives the record a fresh feel, with Walker contributing her smooth R&B vocals and Toliver adding his signature melodic approach. The collaboration introduces a new dimension to a song that has already enjoyed impressive commercial success in Nigeria and beyond.
The original version of SLICK has maintained a strong presence on the charts since its release earlier this year. It spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Nigeria’s Official Top 100, marking Victony’s first solo single to reach the summit of the chart. The song also climbed to No. 2 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, where it held that position for three weeks.
The track is part of Victony’s sophomore album, STARLIFE, which arrived in August 2026. The project features appearances from BNXN, Blaqbonez, YKB, Babyboy AV, Fola and Young Jonn, showcasing the singer’s continued growth and willingness to explore different sounds.
The new release also extends Victony’s musical connection with Don Toliver. The American rapper previously appeared on the 2023 remix of Soweto alongside Rema. That version made its way to No. 12 on the UK Official Independent Singles Chart, spending 16 weeks on the chart.
For Toliver, the SLICK remix comes after the release of his album OCTANE, while Victony has continued to push the song through live performances. In September, the Nigerian singer delivered a performance of SLICK on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Live Lounge.
With Summer Walker bringing her R&B sensibilities and Toliver adding another international dimension to the record, Victony is giving one of his biggest releases of the year another opportunity to connect with listeners across different markets.
