Ghanaian singer Gyakie has unveiled a new single, Your Body (Crazy), marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in her career following a distribution partnership between her independent label, FlipTheMusic, and Warner Music Africa.
Produced by AfroLektra, the new record blends Afro-fusion with Afro-R&B, exploring themes of attraction, chemistry, and desire. Gyakie leans into her signature vocal style, delivering a smooth and expressive performance over a rhythm-driven instrumental that complements the song’s intimate feel.
The release also serves as the lead single for her upcoming third EP, The Dawn, offering listeners an early taste of what to expect from the project.
Despite the new partnership, Gyakie remains an independent artiste. FlipTheMusic will continue to oversee her creative direction and career management, while Warner Music Africa takes charge of distribution. The arrangement is expected to help extend her music’s reach across major African markets and other territories.
Since making her debut in 2019 with Love Is Pretty, Gyakie has steadily built a following beyond Ghana, carving out a sound that draws from Afrobeats, contemporary R&B and traditional Ghanaian highlife.
Her breakthrough arrived with Forever, a standout track from her debut EP, Seed. The song gained widespread attention across the continent, eventually earning Platinum certification in South Africa. Its growing popularity also led to a remix featuring Nigerian singer Omah Lay, further strengthening Gyakie’s presence across the African music scene.
With Your Body (Crazy) now out, Gyakie is looking to build on that momentum while preparing for the next phase of her musical journey. The new distribution deal provides an additional platform for her independent operation to reach more listeners without giving up control of her artistic identity.
