Nigerian singer Morravey has returned with a fresh single titled My Lover, continuing her steady rise as one of the most closely watched new voices in Afrobeats.

The Port Harcourt-born artist first came into the spotlight after being discovered by Davido, who featured her on the track In The Garden from his Grammy-nominated album Timeless. That moment introduced her to a wider audience and marked the beginning of her mainstream journey.
Since then, Morravey has been gradually building her catalogue and profile. Her debut EP RAVI made a strong impression, recording the highest first-day streams for a female EP on Spotify Nigeria at the time of release.
The project also included the viral single Ifineme, which gained massive traction on TikTok, reportedly surpassing 1.8 billion views and earning co-signs from major figures like Ayra Starr and Don Jazzy.
Her growth has also extended beyond streaming numbers. Morravey has performed on major international stages including London’s The O2 Arena and the Ziggo Dome, while also earning features on global discovery platforms such as Apple Music’s Africa Rising and YouTube Foundry.
Before My Lover, she also appeared on Galorizzy, a collaborative track blending Afrobeats and amapiano elements alongside Davido and other artists, further showcasing her versatility.
Her latest release leans into themes of love and emotional clarity, delivered through a softer, more controlled vocal approach. It also signals a refreshed visual direction, focusing on growth and transformation as part of her evolving artistic identity.
With her blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and amapiano influences, Morravey continues to position herself as part of a new wave of African artists shaping the sound and direction of contemporary pop music.
