Mikel Arteta has committed his future to Arsenal after signing a new contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until June 2030.

The Spanish manager has been rewarded with a long-term extension after playing a major role in reshaping Arsenal since taking charge in December 2019.
Arteta inherited a side that was struggling for consistency but has gradually built a team with a clear identity and a stronger presence among the leading clubs in English football. His new deal now gives the club further stability as the project continues to develop.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Arteta described the extension as a privilege and highlighted the people working behind the scenes to move Arsenal forward.
“It’s a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal.”
The 2030 agreement represents another vote of confidence in the direction Arsenal have taken under Arteta. The club will now look to build on the progress made in recent seasons while continuing their pursuit of major trophies.
For Arteta, the new contract also provides an opportunity to continue developing the squad and strengthening the footballing culture he has worked to establish since arriving in north London.
With his future secured for the next four years, Arsenal and Arteta can now focus on the next stage of the project, with plenty more still to accomplish.
