Portable claims he has received ₦40 million ahead of proposed boxing match with Carter Efe

Controversial street-pop act Portable has stirred fresh reactions after claiming he has already pocketed ₦40 million ahead of his proposed celebrity boxing match with Carter Efe.
The boxing showdown first gained attention when music executive Soso Soberekon publicly pledged ₦50 million to make the bout happen. At the time, Portable dismissed the figure as too small, insisting he would only step into the ring if the stakes were raised significantly.
Now, in a new twist, Portable claims money has already started changing hands.
In a recent statement, the singer alleged that Soso Soberekon offered ₦50 million for the fight. At the same time, businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, promised an additional ₦50 million plus a car if he defeated Carter Efe.
Boasting about the development, Portable said:
“I’ve already received ₦40 million from the organisers of my fight with Carter Efe. Soso Soberekon offered me ₦50 million, and E-money offered ₦50 million plus a car if I beat him.”
As with most things involving Portable, the claim has sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans are eager to see the entertainers settle their rivalry in the ring, others are waiting to see if the much-talked-about fight will actually materialise or remain another chapter in Nigeria’s ever-dramatic entertainment scene.
