Rema’s debut album, ‘Raves & Roses,’ has etched its name in Afrobeats history, achieving remarkable success. The album’s soaring popularity was fueled by the international acclaim garnered by hit singles such as ‘Calm Down’ and ‘Soundgasm.’

This accomplishment underscores Rema’s substantial impact on the global acknowledgment and admiration of Afrobeats music. ‘Raves & Roses‘ not only enthralled fans but also established Rema as a pioneering force in the industry, establishing a new benchmark for excellence in Afrobeats albums.

In an unprecedented milestone, Rema’s ‘Raves & Roses‘ has secured an RIAA gold certification, distinguishing it as the only Afrobeats album to achieve this recognition. It stands out as the first debut album by an African artist to earn an RIAA gold certification, joining Wizkid’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Made in Lagos‘ as the sole Afrobeats album with RIAA certification.

Bolstered by the immense success of the single ‘Calm Down,’ featuring Selena Gomez, the album enjoyed a significant commercial triumph in the United States.

It reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and maintained a presence on the chart for over 52 weeks. The single also dominated Billboard’s Afrobeats Chart for over 52 weeks, attaining double platinum status in the United States—a testament to its unparalleled success as the most triumphant Afrobeats cross-over single to date.
