Despite limping out of Paris Saint-Germain’s triumph against Marseille, Kylian Mbappe has not sustained a major injury, according to manager Luis Enrique.

The French international was injured by a vicious tackle from Leonardo Balerdi, forcing him to go off the field to receive treatment on the sidelines. Mbappe returned to the pitch after receiving medical attention in an attempt to prolong his career.

But his stay was brief, as he quickly booted the ball out of play and ran straight for the tunnel. Enrique has since revealed that the injury was not as catastrophic as some had feared.

“It’s not serious, but there was pain. I think it was smarter to go out (subbed off). It’s a blow, he’s fine,” he told reporters after the match.

Le Classique saw PSG destroy their opponents in the local rivalry 4-0 despite the absence of Mbappe. In the eighth minute, Achraf Hakimi scored off a superb free kick to get things started. Soon after, Randal Kolo Muani scored his first goal for PSG.

Goncalo Ramos scored a brace in the second half to secure a convincing win for the visitors as they continued to apply pressure.

In only five Ligue 1 outings this season, Mbappe has been in incredible form, scoring seven goals. On September 30, when PSG plays Clermont Foot, he hopes to be available again.
