South African singer, Zakes Bantwini is not messing about with his intentions to retire, as seen by the announcement of his final studio album, Abantu.

The initial announcement of the musician’s retirement took place late last year, and he has had a phenomenal music career in recent months.

At his 40th birthday party, which he hosted recently, Zakes discussed the project and mentioned that it will be released in November.

“Abantu is about working together towards unity that transcends social class through music and language because it does not see geographical location, race, age, gender, or political views.”

He will continue to manage the business end of the music industry while acting as a music executive for his record label, Mayonie.

Meanwhile, as written in other news that Zakes Bantwini made the decision to publish a touching Mother’s Day message on his timelines in honour of his late mother.

On Sunday, May 14, South African Grammy Award winner Zakes Bantwini (actual name Zakhele Madida) posted a happy Mother’s Day message on Instagram and asked his online followers to leave him and his mother’s kind comments as well.

According to reports, Zakes Bantwini lost his mother Nomthandazo Madida to cancer. He allegedly recounted in his interview with the magazine the moment the doctors informed his family that she only had one month to live.

The singer of the Abancwele hit reportedly said….! “They told us that if we had money to bury her now we must let her go because she was suffering. But if we did not have the money and would need to raise funds, he would put her on chemotherapy.”
