Outrage as Wizkid is spotted in Ghana playing drums amid election
Social media users have expressed their displeasure with the well-known musician Wizkid after he was photographed enjoying a good time at an event in Ghana while the Nigerian presidential and parliamentary elections were taking place.
The footage captures the Grammy winner jubilantly beating drums in Ghana in the midst of other individuals at a time when Nigerians are carrying out their civic duties by casting their votes for their candidate of choice.
On February 25, 2023, Nigeria held its presidential and National Assembly elections. As of this writing, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is still collating the votes.
Supporters criticised him for not participating or casting a ballot in what many described as the most important election in Nigerian electoral history.
A man posted a video of Wizkid performing at a burial service for KillBeatz’s (a Ghanaian music producer) mother’s burial.
