Oxlade opens up on how he got featured on Stormzy’s album
Nigerian singer, Oxlade has shared how his collaboration with British rapper, Stormzy happened.
Recall that on November 25, 2022, Stormzy released his album, ‘This Is What I Mean’ which had an array of Nigerian artists on the project.
Oxlade was one of the artists to appear on the project, featuring on the lead song, “Hide and Seek‘.
In an interview with @Ontheradarradio, Oxlade was asked how the collaboration happened and the “Ku Lo Sa” crooner revealed that he was informed about the collab by one of the executives from his label.
According to him, he was on a tour of London when he got a message from one of his label’s executives who told him that she was with one of the executive producers for Stormzy’s album and they wanted him to feature on the project.

The singer said he told them that he won’t do the collaboration until he spoke with Stormzy and a meeting was arranged for them.
He said that during that period Stormzy sent him a series of voice notes that he still listens to till date as the were prophetic manifestations in his life.
Ox said that Stormzy impacted his life and is a mentor and a big bro to him. He also stated that the collaboration took place over 2 months and they have not met in person as their schedule always clash and their meetings take place virtually.
Oxlade disclosed that he and other Nigerian artists on Stormzy’s album shot their part for the project’s trailer in Nigeria.
