Fireboy DML reveals how his father made him sign an undertaking before coming to Lagos

Fireboy DML recalls the condition his father gave him before he was allowed to relocate to Lagos.
Adedamola Adefolahan, better known by his stage as Fireboy DML, has said that his father wanted him to sign an undertaking before he was allowed to leave school and come to Lagos.
The ‘Vibration‘ singer stated this while speaking with Zeze Millz about how he got his start in music as an errand boy at recording studios.
Fireboy claimed that as a “studio rat,” he began to spend more time in the studio, which had an impact on his academic performance.
He admitted that after some time, the industry leaders in music realised he could write, which is how he got his start writing songs for artists.
The YBNL signee stated that he eventually informed his father that he wanted to drop out of school in his final year and relocate to Lagos.
According to him, it was surprising but his father did not object, rather he made him sign an undertaking to always obey him, and after two years, if he does not blow then he would do whatever is asked of him.

Meanwhile, the YBNL artist previously clarified that he is not a playboy, as popularly assumed.
According to Fireboy, he chose the name “Playboy” for his third studio album to convey the idea that he is going to break out of his shell, play, and have fun like never before.
He said that for the past three years of his career, he has been avoiding it, but that is about to change as he prepares to enter the superstar realm.
