Mavin Records issues warning to upcoming artists over fraudsters
Nigerian famous Record Label, Mavin Records has sent a message to upcoming artists about fraudsters who are impersonating them.
The record label posted a statement on their social media on the 8th of June, 2022 stating that they had gotten wind of some fraudulent persons disguising as the label or representatives of the company.

According to the statement, these fraudsters ask for money in exchange for money at the Mavin office or claim to have the power to get upcoming artists a place in the Mavin Academy.
Part of the statement reads;
“Mavin Record & anyone associates with the company will never ask you to pay for a meeting or to be a member of the academy. No matter how convincing they might sound,m please refrain from engaging such person(s) and report them to the latest law enforcement agency.”

Don Jazzy also quoted the tweet confirming the news.
The label which was founded by Don Jazzy after the end of Mo’hits record been one of Nigeria’s biggest labels this past decade.
The label is home to artists like Rema, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, Ayra Starr, Magixx, Boy Spyce and many others to be unveiled.
Its former artists include Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks.
The label has a program called Mavin Activated which is a program dedicated to training young artists and launching them to the public.
Success stories from the program include Ayra Starr who has bagged several international nominations since her debut in 2020, Magixx and the latest, Boy Spyce.
