Tems gets another Platinum record in the US.

The singer joins Wizkid as the only other Nigerian artist with two US platinum plaques
Nigerian ace singer, songwriter and performer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has bagged another platinum record in the US.
The songstress is also having a good run on the global scene which is clearly not stopping anytime soon.
On Monday 30th February 2022, American rapper Future tweeted that his hit single ‘Wait For U’ off his recent album ‘I Never Liked You’ has gone platinum.
The announcement means that Nigerian sensation Tems who is featured on the record alongside Canadian rapper Drake will receive her second US certification.

The diva who scored her first RIAA platinum record as a guest artist on Wizkid’s “Essence” (which is now double platinum), has followed up with another achievement.
Since achieving international fame with the success of ‘Essence,’ Tems has been featured on the albums of global superstars Drake and his long-term collaborator Future.
Tems, who featured on Future’s song ‘Wait For U’ as a guest alongside Canadian rapper Drake, has earned another platinum record certification, indicating that the single has now sold over one million units (1,000,000) in the United States of America.
The song ‘Wait For U’ has been credited as the fastest collaboration to reach platinum status in 2022.

In addition, Tems will join Wizkid as the only other Nigerian musician with two platinum plaques in the United States with her second platinum plaque.
Big Wiz achieved the feat by featuring on Drake’s global hit ‘One Dance’ and his smash international hit ‘Essence‘ featuring Tems.
