Just like every other profession, deejaying requires more effort than anyone can imagine, DJ Exprezioni reflects.
Nigeria’s leading disk jockey, DJ Exprezioni has expressed his opinion on the deejaying task, as it requires more effort than people imagine.
According to the award-winning star, Deejaying requires certain skills and levels of understanding to get the desired outputs.
He explained that people often learn things they don’t know, and being a successful DJ isn’t different.
“We all know how being a DJ is not an easy task, but people think it is all about mixing, changing songs, and hitting on the turntables. However, that is not true. People actually go to learn this work like every other profession, and it requires years of practicing before perfection.
“There is also the place for understanding your audience, their demographics, which gives you an insight into the kind of songs they would like. For example, you go to a 70-year-old man’s birthday party to DJ, and you are playing ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe‘, do you really think you would get the attention of the audience?“, Exprezioni said.

Buttressing his point, Exprezioni also shared a piece of advice for up-and-coming DJs. In their quest for fame, Exprezioni admonished them to take their time and get the best out of their training rather than rushing for fame, which would catch up to them in the long run.
He said, “for the up and coming folks, take your time, it is not an easy job to serve over 10,000 people in a stadium with good music over a period of time and see them vibing to it. There are a lot of emotions and patience to this thing.
“I will advice you to learn, be up to date, stay strategic, keep your confidence at its peak and soar greatly”, he concluded.
