    Nigerian Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate has revealed how long he has been performing on stage.

    He has disclosed that he has spent more than 50 years playing indigenous African music.

    He made this revelation during the just concluded colloquium honouring late Fuji founder, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, held at the Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos.

    The ‘Ade Ori Okin’ singer said he started playing music at 15.

    He said :

    “I started doing music at the age of 15. I may not be good at calculations but I am sure I have put in more than 50 years of my life into fuji music.
    “If you think it’s not a big deal, I think it means a lot,”

    K1 urged Fuji artists to keep promoting the traditional genre of music positively.

    In his word he said:

    “I think this is the best time for all fuji musicians, wherever they might be, to draw from their inner strength, wake up from their slumber, and boost the image of this genre of music.

    “You may not like me but you cannot change the will of God over my life. So, you should join hands with me to duly recognise and celebrate the pathfinder of fuji music (Barrister), who created opportunities for many people,”
