Wizkid adds another set of certifications to his collection
Wizkid is on his way to becoming the most certified artist in Nigeria as he recently earned two certifications from the UK.
Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album has been certified silver in the United Kingdom, following incredible sales of over 60,000 units. On Friday, January 14th, 2022, this was announced on social media.
The classic album, which was released in 2020, and its deluxe version, which was released in 2021, have now been designated as a worldwide album, with over a billion streams across all music streaming platforms in the year 2021.
The deluxe version, which included four additional songs, including the Essence remix, which featured Canadian popstar Justin Bieber, had 410.15 million streams on Apple Music, 324.06 million on YouTube, 313.7 million streams on Audiomack, 312.7 million streams on Spotify, and 48.7 million streams on Boomplay as of December 31st, 2021.

His global hit, “Essence” which features Tems was also certified Gold after an outstanding sales of 400,000 units.
The song was initially certified silver in the country in the month of September of 2021.
