Mp3bullet.ng presents Foreign artists Davido has featured on his Songs.
In an era when the bridge between the Nigerian music industry and the global music scene is slowly closing, Davido is one singer who has had foreign artists feature on his songs.
In the Nigerian music industry, international collaborations have become the standard. Getting a worldwide musician to sing on a Nigerian song used to be a pipe dream and nearly difficult to achieve.
Famous artists including D’banj, 2Baba, and P-square took advantage of the chance as the Nigerian music industry gained international fame and began incorporating foreign acts into their songs.
Davido, who had only made his debut in 2011 with “Dami Duro,” was still a long way from accomplishing this achievement. However, as his impact grew, so did the amount of attention he received from the international music industry.
With over a decade in the music industry under his belt, Davido has amassed an amazing array of international collaborations that have cemented his place as one of Nigeria’s music heavyweights.

Here are the Top Foreign artists that Davido has succeeded in featuring in his songs.
Chris Brown
Davido and Chris Brown have developed a friendship that has translated into their music career. Their first collaboration was on Davido’s 2019 hit, “Blow My Mind.”
The two didn’t stop there as Chris Brown featured Davido on his “Lower Body” song also released that same year and produced by Kiddominant.
In 2020, Chris Brown made another appearance on Davido’s “A Better Time” album on the song “Shopping Spree” which features Young Thug.
Meek Mill
While Dami Duro remix with Akon would be credited as Davido’s first international collaboration, however, OBO’s collaboration with Meek Mill in 2015 was his major commercial international collaboration.
While the two have yet to collaborate again, “Fans Mi” was a major collaboration and came at a time when the Nigerian Music Industry was properly getting its deserved flowers.
Nicki Minaj
There have been many artists in the Nigerian Music Industry who have been desiring to work with the Queen of American rap, Nicki Minaj but Davido actualized that dream in 2020 when he featured her on “Holy Ground” off his “A Better Time” album.
In an interview, Davido revealed that he hasn’t met Nicki Minaj face to face but bravely sent her a dm on Instagram asking for a collaboration and she agreed, the rest they say, is history.
Fans are still eagerly expecting a music video from there and given Davido’s past work rate, it’s definite that she would appear on the video should there be one.

Nas
Nas is one of America’s iconic rappers to date and having him featured on a song is a privilege for most artists. Davido got the “Life Is Good” hitmaker to feature on his “Birthday Cake” single off his “A Better Time” album.
According to Davido, he ran into Nas at the bathroom stall during a visit to American producer, Hitboy’s studio and from there, the two created their collaboration.
Popcaan
2019 was a good year for Davido, his 2017 singles, “Fall” and “If” were topping charts and he was bagging collaborations from Internationa artists like Chris Brown.
Months after his “Blow My Mind” single with Chris Brown, Davido dropped his collaboration with Popcaan titled “Risky.” Just like “Blow My Mind“, the song was a hit.
“Risky” wasn’t the first time the two collaborated, Popcaan had featured Davido on his 2017 single “My Story” and later his “Dun rich” in 2018.
Young Thug
Davido and Young Thug first collaborated on Davido’s 2017 collaboration, “Pere” which also featured American rap duo, Rae Sremmund. “Pere” came years after Davido’s collaboration with Meek Mill and received mixed reviews.
In 2020, alongside Chris Brown, Davido featured Young Thug on “Shopping Spree“, a single off his “A Better Time” album.
