    Olamide came into the music scene with “Eni Duro” in 2010 under Coded Tunes owned by ID Cabasa. In 2011, he released his debut album, “Rapsodi”, decades later, the singer had churned out hit songs, eight albums, and some other projects to his credit.

    Apart from releasing hits back to back, the iconic singer has groomed a number of music stars which includes Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Viktoh, Yomie Sax, Picazo, amongst others under the YBNL label.

    The YBNL boss has a large influence on pop culture in Nigeria from Slangs, to dance, to pose, and even fashion sense, Baddo Sneh is undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s Greatest act to be born.

    Eni Duro

    Every artist has that one breakthrough song that launches their career, for Olamide it was ‘Eni Duro’. Released in 2010, Olamide’s rapping skill gave him an edge in an industry where most rappers were rapping in English.

    Olamide- YBNL

    Of his second album, “YBNL” which was released in November 2012, was “Voice of the street”.

    On the Tyrone produced song, Olamide stakes a legitimate claim to being the ‘Voice of the streets’ as he brags about how revered he has become in the industry and addresses his critics.

    He also raps about his ambition and determination to get successful. He also raps about the passion and energy that young hustlers like himself possess.

     

    Omo To Shan ft Wizkid

    Olamide-Rapsodi

    Just like “Eni Duro”, “Omo To Shan” was another of Olamide’s breakout songs. Featuring Wizkid, the song was the lead single off his debut album, “Rapsodi”.

     

    Ilefo Illuminati

    ‘Ilefo Illuminati” was off Olamide‘s second album, YBNL. In the song, Olamide goes on the offense and even though the name almost sparked controversies, the singer was unbothered as he made his mission known, to be a star.

    Goon Mi

    “Goons Mi” was one of the hit songs from Olamide’s fourth album, “Street OT”. One of his earlier hardest rap songs, “Goon Mi” sees Olamide boast of his ‘guys’ who have his back and his zeal for hustling.

    Turn Up

    Apart from spitting hard rap, Olamide is also good at delivering club bangers, and “Turn Up” is one of them. The song just like the name was able to make people turn up on the floor whenever it was played.

    The song was off his third album, “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth”.

    Story For The God

    Olamide – Street OT

    “Story For The Gods” is off Olamide‘s fourth album, “Street OT”. The song led to the popularity of the slang, “Story for the Gods” which is often used whenever someone makes up an unbelievable story in form of an excuse. The lyrics of the song have been criticized for promoting r*pe.

     

    Stupid Love

    Released in 2012, “Stupid Love” came out during the time, Azonto dance was the trending thing on the street. The Samklef produced track was a certified hit banger that dominated every playlist at the time of its release.

     

    Fucking with the Devil

    Off “YBNL” album, Olamide reminisces on his journey to fame and the challenges his fame has brought his way on “Fucking with Devil”. In the song, he sings “I believe one day we go win grammy”, a promise fans still hold on to.

    Duro Soke

    “Durosoke” which means “Stay Up” in Yoruba is a song by Olamide which was released as the lead single from his third studio album, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013). The song which was produced by Pheelz was the background story to his ‘Wobe’ sound and showed a different side to his brand.
