Record Labels are major pillars in the music industry and thanks to them, artistes have the platform to dish out their creativity with little or no stress.
ZANKU RECORDS
Zanku Records is owned by Nigerian controversial artiste, Zlatan and was officially launched earlier this year. While it might be a baby in the Music Industry, the Record Label has shown great potentials. Artistes in the label include Jamopyper, Papisnoop, Oberz.
STARBOY ENTERTAINMENT
Starboy Entertainment was established in 2013 by superstar artiste, Wizkid after his exits from Banky W owned EME label. The label was home to artists like Mr Eazi, Efya, L.A.X, R2bees. Its recent signee, Terri recently released his debut EP, “Afro series” which has been dominating the airwaves since its release.

YBNL NATION
Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) is a record label that was founded by Olamide in 2012. The YBNL group boasts of alumni like Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun, Lyta, Davolee amongst others. The current acts include DJ Enimoney and fast-rising star, Fireboy. It also boasts of popular music producers like Pheelz and Young John. Olamide made a comeback with his surprise album, ‘999’ this year.
DAVIDO MUSIC WORLDWIDE
Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) is owned by popular Nigerian artiste, Davido, and boasts of acts like Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo, Yonda, Ichaba, Fresh VDM, Idowest, DJ Ecool, Lil Frosh. The label has shown great potentials and this year alone, three of its acts excluding Davido have released hit songs which include “Geng” and “Of La La” by Mayorkun, “Gunshot” by Peruzzi and “Mabel” by Dremo.

MAVIN RECORDS
Mavin Records was established by Music Mogul, Don Jazzy after the crash of his first label, Mo hits records which were caused by the exit of his co-partner, D’Banj, Wande Coal, K-Switch. Don Jazzy signed acts like Tiwa Savage, Reekabo banks, Korede Bello, Di’ja. Though the label experienced a bit of tumble with the exit of Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks, Don Jazzy signed acts like Rema whose music is breaking records, Crayon, DNA, Ladipoe to fill in the void.
Mavin label has dominated the music industry this year with songs like “Beamer” by Rema, “Know You” by Ladipoe, “Kpano” by Crayon.
