Just after Teni was crowned as the Best New Act at the Just concluded Soundcity MVP Awards, series of comments have been erupting on the social media, some chose to go against the fact that Teni was 2018 best new act while some took it upon themselves to give her full support.
The DMW act, Peruzzi seems not to be able to hold the defeat as he took to his social media page to share his thoughts, should that be tagged a beef or fact? Not quite long he shared the message, it got deleted, but we got you covered on it, check it out below!
“Personally I’d say I worked the hardest last year than any other new act, same way I made more money last year than any other new act in the country.
“There’s a way I see myself, it’s my race, there’s a way I’m running it. Focus on yours. Facts over hype. It’s really simple.”
We all know 2018 was Peruzzi and Teni’s year but there will always be a boss among two best acts. In 2018, Peruzzi was featured in several hit songs by top artistes such as 2baba, Duncan Mighty, Ice Prince, Davido and the DMW crew.
Despite his successful run as a featured artiste, he failed to land a standout solo major hit, when compared to Teni The Entertainer.
Teni beats Peruzzi, Odunsi The Engine, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur, Kida Kudz, Shane Eagle, Sho Madjozi and Mbosso to win the Soundcity MVP award.
She released a number of solo hit songs in 2018, including ‘Askamaya’, ‘Case’ and ‘Uyo Meyo’ to mention few, can we say every single was a hit back to back?
