    Teni Reaches Highland With Debut Album ‘WONDALAND’ [Review]

    Teni showed vocal strength, lyrical depth and versatility on Wondaland, covering a wide range of excellence, sonically amazing with incredibly Ballad exploration.

    ‘WONDALAND’ will be Teni‘s first complete body of work since The Quarantine Playlist 

    First and foremost I will love to start with a big congratulations on the debut Album ‘WONDALAND‘, it’s an essential step to mark her length-long breakthrough career, thus, highland in this context depicts a new height or a professional pinnacle.

    Teni practically fused genres to create a sensation, engulfing different musical genres including, Trap, Afropop, R&B and highlife, running down on the album you’d observe the meticulous effort put together.

    Teni‘s album is absolutely going to be on top projects released this year, sadly a lot of people will wake up to it and wouldn’t want to forgive themselves, it happens to every album especially with 17-22 tracks projects.

    Kudos to the team for an impressive rollout plan, from the album cover synopsis to the WondalandVR experience.

    According to Teni, the album was made across seven (7) cities, which includes; London, Dubai, New York, Orlando, Lagos, Abuja and Ondo, in a range of two years.

    Also, the album cover was inspired by Disneyland and Amusement park, in which the spring rider represents the range of emotions the album possesses.

    Pheelz producing 50% made it sonically inclined, the production versatility cannot be overemphasized, also P.Prime, Ozedikus, Kris Beatz.

    The 17-track release will flutter diversity and amazing feel-good kinds of music, the album in its entirety features only artiste, Afrobeat heavyweight Davido.
    However, ‘Maja’ serves as a sultry introduction that ushered in the atmosphere, also‘ XXXL’ is a laudable significant track that conveys and relays a vital message of her body size and the stereotype, a very wonderful track therein.

    Critically I think ‘Injure Me’ should come as a supplementary single to enable impartation, it obviously possesses the melody of a street anthem, it has the potential to crack the market and becomes a hit song.

    Teni on the other hand should have made an album earlier instead of an extended play, with the buzz around 2019/2020, but nevertheless, the album is definitely worth all the wait and still on the landslide.
