Priddy Ugly reveals the greatest SA Hip Hop Era ever

Priddy Ugly clarifies the reason this might be the greatest SA hip-hop era ever. In a competitive sector like South African hip-hop, veteran rappers receive recognition for their longevity, but eventually, they must hand the reins over to the newer, up-and-coming rappers.

A slew of fatalities, including those of prominent rappers like AKA, Riky Rick, and DJ Dimplez among others, has hurt the South African rap scene. According to Priddy Ugly, who believes that the rap culture will experience great things in the future despite the number of deaths it has seen recently, it is time for young musicians to seize the moment.

The acclaimed rapper noted on Twitter that it is time for future artists to take charge while honouring the legacy of late rappers because the majority of great rappers are no more with us.

“A lot of our legends are no longer with us physically, but their memory & music will live on through us forever. I hope their souls are resting in eternal peace. With the torches needed to be carried & passed along, we might be in for the greatest SA Hip Hop era ever.” Tweeted Priddy Ugly.
