This comes two months after Nigerian singers Rema, Omah Lay, Shallipopi and Obongjayar were featured on EA FIFA 25 soundtrack
Nigerian Afro-fusion sensation Asake has reached a significant career milestone with one of his songs being selected for the soundtrack of the upcoming NBA 2K25 video game.
His track “Wave,” a collaboration with British rapper Central Cee from his third album ‘Lungu Boy,’ is featured on the NBA 2K25 season 2 soundtrack.
This album also includes songs from prominent American artists such as Key Glock and Lil Pete.
Asake is the only Afrobeats artist to be included in the soundtrack, marking a consecutive appearance for Afrobeats following Adekunle Gold’s “Party No Dey Stop” featuring Zinoleesky on the NBA 2K24 soundtrack.
Asake joins the ranks of fellow Nigerian stars Adekunle Gold and Burna Boy, who have also been featured in the gameβs iconic soundtrack.
The 2024 version of the game has sold over 9 million units, further cementing Asake’s growing international presence.

This inclusion highlights Asake’s status as a global superstar and one of Afrobeats’ most prolific hitmakers. Since rising to fame in 2022, he has consistently delivered chart-topping and record-breaking hits.
Recently, Asake concluded his ‘Lungu Boy’ tour, where he sold out major venues like Madison Square Garden, Toyota Arena, TD Garden, and Capital One Arena.
Additionally, he became only the third Nigerian artist to headline the prestigious O2 Arena.
