Davido has reportedly submitted his latest album, ORIADÉ, alongside several songs for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, with entries spanning major album and song categories, African music and music videos.
The reported submissions, shared by the Grammy-focused account The Grammy Guru, include the categories Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, as well as Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance, and Best Music Video.
At the centre of the entries is ORIADÉ, which has reportedly been submitted in four categories: Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, and Best Album Cover. The submissions cover both the album’s music and its technical and visual presentation.
Davido’s collaboration with Mayorkun and FOLA, “B4 B4,” is also among the reported entries. The song has been submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance, placing it among the projects seeking recognition across multiple categories.
Another entry is “Nakupenda,” featuring TxC, Zlatan, Shoday, Scotts Maphuma and Al Xapo. The collaboration has reportedly been submitted for Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance, bringing together artists from different corners of the African music scene.
Davido’s other reported submissions include “Le Show,” featuring Ayra Starr and French Montana, for Best African Music Performance. Meanwhile, the music video for “I Know Who I Be,” featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, has reportedly been entered in the Best Music Video category.
While the range of submissions places Davido’s work across several areas of Grammy consideration, it is important to distinguish entries from official nominations. Submitting a song or album does not guarantee a nomination, as the Recording Academy’s voting process determines which works advance to the final list.
For now, the reported entries add Davido to the list of Nigerian artists whose work is being put forward for consideration ahead of the 2027 Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 7, 2027.
