Nigerian singer AG Baby has finally addressed the long-standing rumours suggesting that he and his wife, Simi, welcomed twins, a speculation that has circulated online for months.

Speaking during an appearance on the Great Day Houston podcast on Wednesday, the singer opened up about family life, his creative partnership with Simi, and the current direction of his Fuji-inspired musical era.
While reflecting on his personal life, Adekunle Gold clarified the viral claim, setting the record straight on the rumours that had gained traction since early 2026.
“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter,” he said. “My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it’s just internet rumours. We have a son.”
However, his comments also carried a playful undertone, as he suggested the speculation may not have been entirely out of his control, subtly hinting that the narrative might have been encouraged by how he previously framed his posts online.
“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic song writer and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well. My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it’s just internet rumours, we have a son.”

The rumour originally began in January after Adekunle Gold shared a cryptic Snapchat message that read: “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double.” The post quickly went viral, leading many fans to assume the couple had welcomed twins.
Over time, the speculation grew stronger across social media, even though neither he nor Simi had confirmed it.
Beyond the rumours, the singer also used the interview to reflect on his family dynamic, describing Simi as an important creative influence and soundboard in his evolving artistry. He also revealed that their daughter, Deja, is already showing early signs of musical talent.
The conversation comes amid his ongoing Fuji Xtra era, where Adekunle Gold continues to explore more culturally rooted sounds while balancing family life and artistic reinvention.
