“It’s false, misleading’- Kizz Daniel’s Management Dismisses Viral Report on Court-Ordered Account Freeze

The management team of Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Kizz Daniel, has debunked a viral report claiming that a court ordered the freezing of his personal and business accounts over a contractual dispute.
The rumour, which circulated widely online, alleged that the Buga hitmaker was ordered to pay €200,000 in damages after failing to honour a show despite receiving a $50,000 advance. The report further suggested that his Access Bank accounts had been frozen by court order.
However, in a statement released on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Kizz Daniel’s management dismissed the claims as baseless and malicious.
“Kizz Daniel has no such case in court, and no accounts have been frozen. We urge fans, partners, and the general public to disregard this fabricated story,” the statement partly read.
The team stressed that the singer remains fully committed to his music and upcoming performances, noting that false reports would not distract him from his career path. They also revealed plans to pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading the misleading claims.
“This is not the first time the artist has been a target of false rumours, but such distractions will not derail him from delivering quality music to his fans worldwide,” the statement added.
The management also referenced the Afrobeats Meets Berlin 2022 controversy, explaining that the event’s promoter used Kizz Daniel’s name, likeness, and image alongside those of other stars to market tickets for a show that eventually never held.
According to them, Kizz Daniel had been ready to perform, but the promoter “failed to fulfil his obligations,” which later gave rise to misunderstandings and false allegations against the singer.

Adding his voice to the matter, Kizz Daniel’s younger brother, identified on Instagram as @uthy_omg, issued a stern warning to those peddling the story.
“I will advice you take this down as information on here is incorrect and just an Avenue to sabotage the brand name ‘Kizz Daniel’. Nothing of such happened, this is fake news. He booked Kizz Daniel for an event in 2022 and gave a date and cancelled the show himself without prior notice or anything and still we went ahead to consider saying he can reschedule which he never did.
You paid a deposit and according to contract deposits are non-refundable. You used the brand name to market the shows and take money from the people. He’s the fraud here. He did same thing to Teni, Diamond Platnumz, Boy Spyce. You are a failure whoever you are,” he wrote.
