Billboard announce the best 50 Afrobeats songs of all time

Global music authority Billboard has rolled out its highly anticipated ranking of the 50 greatest Afrobeats songs of all time, celebrating the genre’s remarkable rise from West Africa to global dominance.
According to the outlet, the countdown will be revealed in phases, with ten songs published weekly until the ultimate number one is crowned. The rollout began on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The selection represents Billboard’s editorial picks and shines a spotlight on Afrobeats classics that shaped the sound, alongside modern chart-toppers that pushed the genre beyond the continent.
