Nigerian singer Fola has confirmed that his much-awaited debut album, Catharsis, will drop on September 5, 2025.

The announcement came via his official X (formerly Twitter) page on Friday, August 15, accompanied by a striking image of the artist seated on a boat, a visual many believe reflects the album’s thematic depth.
Earlier, on August 1, Fola offered fans a glimpse into the project’s emotional core. He described Catharsis as a year-long creative journey, crafted as a form of therapy.
According to him, the writing process served as a way to “mend what life tried to break, to let go of what I couldn’t hold onto, and most of all, to heal.”
Expressing both gratitude and anticipation, the singer said he hopes the music will give listeners the same sense of release and restoration it brought him during its creation.
He boldly referred to it as “the album you didn’t know you needed,” ending his post with the hashtag #catharsisOTW.
With the official date now set, expectations are high for an unfiltered and emotionally charged debut from Fola.
