Nigerian music lovers are about to witness a fresh blend of artistry as Johnny Drille and Tiwa Savage, two of the country’s most celebrated talents, prepare to drop their first joint track.
Titled “OVER THE MOON,” the single is slated for release this Friday, August 15, 2025.
The announcement came via a short video teaser, offering a taste of the music video’s dreamy visuals. In the clip, Johnny Drille, renowned for his soulful folk and alternative sound, serenades in a moonlit scene, while the lyric “Over the moon, take me over to you” hints at a tender, romantic ballad.
Fans are anticipating a rich fusion of Drille’s warm, emotive style with Tiwa Savage’s powerhouse vocal delivery—an unexpected pairing that could captivate audiences across genres.
Although both stars have worked with other major names in the past, this marks their first creative collaboration.

Signed to Mavin Records, Johnny Drille has carved out a loyal fan base through heartfelt projects like his debut album Before We Fall Asleep (2021), and his 2024 EP, Hard Guy Confessions.
Known for his intimate “Johnny’s Room Live” concerts, he has also charmed listeners with singles such as Believe Me and Angelina featuring Fireboy DML.
Tiwa Savage, celebrated globally as the “Queen of Afrobeats,” boasts a career spanning over a decade, with hit albums like Once Upon a Time (2013), R.E.D. (2015), and Celia (2020).
Recently, she expanded her creative portfolio with her debut film Water & Garri, which she executive-produced for Prime Video, and is currently working on a new R&B-focused album titled This One Is Personal.
