Beninese music legend and five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo is set to make history as the first African artist to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce made the official announcement as part of its 2025 Walk of Fame class, spotlighting Kidjo’s immense contribution to music, culture, and social advocacy on a global scale.
This milestone moment not only celebrates the powerhouse vocalist’s illustrious career spanning over 40 years, but also represents a significant stride for African visibility and excellence in one of the world’s most recognized symbols of entertainment legacy.
