Tiwa Savage Eyes Business and Education After 2025 Forbes Africa Honor

Nigerian music powerhouse Tiwa Savage is charting a bold new course for her legacy following her recognition as the 2025 Forbes Woman Africa Media Icon Award recipient.
The celebrated singer has revealed her aspirations to expand beyond music, stepping into what she calls her “mogul era.”
In a recent interview with Forbes Africa, Tiwa shared that this vision has been a lifelong dream. She recalled how her early love for entertainment shaped her journey, stating, “When I was in school, there were basic subjects like math, English, and then electives like sports, drama, and music.
I chose drama, and even from that early stage, I knew I had a gift for acting. Even when I started my music career, I knew I would eventually return to that field.”

The 45-year-old Afrobeats star is now focused on creating opportunities beyond the stage, particularly in education and business. While many have speculated about her launching a record label, Tiwa made it clear that she has no plans to sign artists due to the complexities of managing musicians. “Everyone always asks, ‘When are you going to sign an artist?’ I don’t think I have the gift for that because artists can be stressful. I could be sleeping and wake up to see my artist trending for something unexpected,” she said.
Instead, she is working on establishing a structured music school to equip young talents with proper training before they enter the industry. Her goal is to provide aspiring musicians with the foundation they need to thrive in professional settings.
With a global reputation and a prestigious award to her name, the Mega Money Mega Crooner is determined to leave a lasting impact far beyond music.
