Manix releases ‘Jükéré’, a spiritual rendition exploring heights and depths of loss and love.
Manix Unachukwu also known as Prince Manix, steps boldly into the spotlight with “Jükéré,” a powerful love song rooted in deep soul, and spirituality.
It is the lead track off his upcoming studio project, “God of Music,” and it’s nothing short of a heartfelt journey through grief, love, and healing.
“Jükéré”, translated as “Love Dance”, is a verbal expression of love powered by smooth melodies. Manix channels the pain of losing his mother into this piece that houses connection and longing.
Reflecting on its creation, he says, “I was looking for a way of saying loving words to her and the world at the same time. It was a time when I was missing her presence terribly, and this song was born out of that moment.”
The record’s journey was just as spiritual as its meaning. What started as a demo became a refined work of art after a transformative rework with an experienced production team.
For Manix, music is more than art—it’s a spiritual calling. He approaches his work with a meditative process that draws from within. “I always draw inspiration from deep within my innermost soul before stepping foot in the studio. Whether it’s my past experiences, my current situation, or just a melody that comes to me from the Source, I take pride in the creative process. I need peace and positive energy to create music that resonates deeply,” he noted.
Unlike many of his colleagues, Manix isn’t big on features, trends, charts and dominance. He is on a mission to create his path, and prove one can build a legacy by staying true to your sound. “I want to prove to myself that you can achieve recognition as an independent artist, staying true to your unique, God-given sound,” he added.
The influences shaping Manix’s sound are as great as they are legendary. He credits icons like Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Fela Kuti, Marvin Gaye, Sade Adu, and present day raves like Wizkid for inspiring his artistry. Yet, he remains the captain of his ship, the master of his own sound.
With “Jükéré,” Manix Unachukwu sets the tone for an extraordinary chapter in his career. The single is like a movement, a celebration of love, and proof of resilience.
