In this life, make sure you work so hard to build a house – Paul Okoye advises Nigerians
Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy from the iconic P-Square duo, has stirred conversation online with his latest piece of advice to Nigerians.
Taking to the Insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page, Rudeboy emphasized the importance of working hard to own a home, calling it a significant step toward achieving financial independence.
The singer, who recently welcomed a child with his wife, Ivy Ifeoma, highlighted that avoiding rent is equivalent to securing lifetime freedom. He stressed that the size or location of the house does not matter; what counts is owning a space that provides stability and eliminates the challenges of dealing with landlords.
“See ehh… No matter what you do in life, make sure you work soo hard to avoid RENT!! Because that’s a lifetime freedom. Get yours … it doesn’t matter where or the location,” Rudeboy wrote in his post.
The singer further noted that reliance on rental housing often leads to “disrespect and see-finish,” making the case for home ownership even stronger. “The fear of landlords is the beginning of disrespect and see-finish. GET YOURS!! That will be the beginning of your FINANCIAL FREEDOM,” he added.
Rudeboy’s statement has since gone viral, sparking widespread reactions. While some fans have praised his practical advice, others debated the feasibility of owning property in Nigeria’s challenging economic climate.
