Show Dem Camp has shed light on the inspiration behind the title of their album “No Love In Lagos.” The Nigerian music duo, known for their influence across rap and alternative music, has earned critical acclaim throughout their nearly two- decades-long career.

In a recent interview on “The Ebro Show” on Apple Music, SDC’s Tec and Ghost shared insights into why they chose the title “No Love In Lagos.”

According to the duo, the title reflects the harsh realities of life in Lagos, Nigeria’s bustling economic and entertainment hub, where a survival-of-the-fittest mentality prevails. “Everybody is hustling, and everybody cares for their hustle. It’s like ‘I’m not collectively looking at anything. I am just trying to get mine,” Tec explains.

Released on August 9, 2024, “No Love In Lagos” continues SDC’s tradition of brilliant storytelling, blending with The Cavemen’s neo-highlife music and Nsikak’s mesmerizing guitar work to create a captivating album.

With standout features from Obongjayar, Tim Lyre, Moelogo, and Ruti, and guided by the expertise of super-producer Spax, “No Love In Lagos” represents a groundbreaking collaboration between two duos leading Nigeria’s alternative music scene.
