Davido reveals he met his wife, Chioma, before he had money
Renowned Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has offered insights into his relationship with his wife, Chioma Adeleke.
In a recent interview circulating online as of Monday, March 25, 2024, Davido revealed that he met Chioma before achieving fame and fortune as a superstar.
Highlighting the significance of their meeting during a time when he had yet to attain wealth and fame, Davido underscored the importance of genuine connections, particularly in matters of love and marriage. He admitted that encountering Chioma before his rise to stardom was pivotal, as it enabled him to navigate the potential challenges of discerning true intentions in relationships.
The DMW boss expressed his contentment in maintaining a tight-knit circle of friends who have been with him since his humble beginnings. He emphasized the value of remaining grounded and surrounded by individuals who knew him before his fame and fortune.
Reflecting on his journey, Davido recounted instances where friends expressed yearning for companionship, underscoring the significance of authentic connections over material success. He conveyed gratitude for having Chioma by his side before his ascent to stardom, acknowledging the genuineness of their relationship.
In his words; “I have a friend, anytime I am on the phone with my wife, he would say he has everything in the world, but a wife is what he is missing. I met my wife before I had money, but I was telling myself if I didn’t meet her before then and now I am single, and I meet a girl, it wouldn’t be the same. I would feel the lady is talking to me because I am Davido and I have money.”
“My own success is when I see people around who were there when I had nothing and they see me now, that’s the feeling, not like when you blow up and start hanging out with a new set of people. You need to keep the people that were there with you since grinding,” he added.
