The second national anthem of Nigeria is Kizz Daniel’s “Buga,” according to Vice President Shettima
Vice President Kashim Shettima has declared that Kizz Daniel and Tekno’s 2023 hit song, ‘Buga,’ is poised to become Nigeria’s unofficial second national anthem. In an exclusive interview with Arise TV, Shettima, renowned for his viral ‘Buga‘ dance video, expressed his participation in the challenge as a means to showcase Nigeria’s rich arts and culture to the world.
Shettima emphasized the government’s commitment to nurturing arts and culture, aligning with its ambitious vision of “Nigeria Destination 2030.”
“We have a grand vision called ‘Nigeria Destination 2030.’ We cannot ignore the fact that Nigerian arts and culture are making significant waves on the global stage. After a considerable absence, Nigeria is making a comeback on the global scene. The ‘Buga’ dance is fast becoming a cultural phenomenon, almost akin to a second national anthem. It’s our way of reintroducing Nigeria, and we must seize this opportunity to showcase the richness of our nation.”
As ‘Buga‘ gains prominence both locally and internationally, it serves as a symbol not just of musical success but also as a powerful tool for cultural diplomacy, aligning with Nigeria’s broader aspirations on the global stage.
Nigerian sensation Kizz Daniel has excited his fans with the promise of a new music video, likely for his recent singles.
Vado announced on social media that he will be releasing a new music video on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He shared the news by saying, “01/25 … I have a new music video for you.”
The anticipated video could be for either of his latest singles, ‘Too Busy to Be Bea‘ or the fan-favorite ‘Twe Twe.’ Both songs were produced by P.Priime and Killertunes & Blaise Beatz, respectively.
