Amapiano producer DJ Mbali Umshove is dead.
A tragic loss in the music world as Amapiano sensation DJ Mbali Umshove, known by her real name Amahle Nduli, has passed away.
The family confirmed her untimely demise on Monday, July 24, 2023, and has requested privacy during this difficult time. The beloved 27-year-old artist gained fame with her hit track “Umshove,” featuring Kabza De Small and Leehleza.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 26, in Maboneng, Johannesburg, to pay tribute to the talented DJ. According to the family spokesperson’s statement to ZiMoja, DJ Mbali tragically succumbed to an allergy that led to complications and respiratory distress. Despite efforts to save her, she sadly passed away after being rushed to the hospital.
The music community mourns the loss of this young and promising artist, whose contribution to the Amapiano genre will be remembered forever. Details about her memorial service and funeral arrangements will be released shortly. May her soul rest in peace.

“We would like to formally announce Amahle Nduli (DJ MBALI UMSHOVE)’s passing. The family appreciates your prayers and asks for privacy as we grieve the loss of our cherished daughter. Details about her memorial service and funeral will be announced soon,” the statement read.
“Some white and brownish fluid started coming out of her mouth and she was struggling to breathe, she was gasping for air,” the spokesperson said.
