Talented singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has reacted to his recent achievement with his blockbuster hit song “Calm Down” on the Billboard charts breaking the Afrobeat superstar Wizkid record.
Rema took to his social media platform to react to this historical moment in his career.
The Mavin/Jonzing World signee smashed Wizkid’s solo lead billboard record with the current hit single “Calm Down,” demonstrating the progression and expansion of afrobeats.
Being one of the biggest crossover Afrobeats songs in history, “Calm Down” has now surpassed Wizkid’s “Essence” remix featuring Tems and Justin Bieber as the highest-ranking African single on the Billboard Hot 100.

In addition, ‘Calm Down‘ is the most-watched Nigerian music video on YouTube as it has surpassed over 230 million views. It has also surpassed over a billion streams across all platforms.
Rema received its first RIAA platinum plaque for the song, and the remix is anticipated to sell over 2 million copies in the upcoming weeks.
