Nigerian rapper, Dremo has opened up on the state of his relationship with Davido’s 30BG, stating he is still on good terms with the group.

Dremo joined Poco Lee and Crayon for the most recent episode of Clout Viral to discuss how their careers got started.

They discussed a range of topics including obtaining a record deal, their preferred methods of recording, weathering storms, and the dating scene.

During the interview, Poco Lee asked Dremo if he was still a part of Davido’s 30BG and the rapper replied in the affirmative.

According to him, he is still on good terms with the group even though his contract with the DMW record label has expired.

Talking about how he joined DMW, Dremo revealed that a random freestyle in Davido‘s studio resulted in him being signed by the Superstar.

According to him, while he was staying in Ibadan he was signed to a record label owned by Davido’s then-road manager.

He said that he would beg the road manager to link him up with Davido for a collaboration.

Dremo said that he travelled to Lagos to meet his boss at Davido’s home and that following a night of clubbing, he went inside the studio to record because he was having trouble sleeping.

Inside the studio, he saw an unlocked laptop on which he downloaded the beat to Desiigner’s Panda” song and started freestyling to it. He revealed that freestyle was inspired by Fela’s picture which he saw in the studio and would later become his first breakthrough song, “Fela“.

While listening to the freestyle he made, he noticed Davido had entered the studio and was also vibing to it. Dremo stated Davido told him the laptop he was using belonged to him and asked him to bring it upstair once he was done.

The next day, Dremo revealed a call from Davido who informed him that he would be signing him to his label.
