Twin singing sensations, P-square who were supposedly scheduled to perform at the Akwa Ibom campaign rally with Peter Obi, the LP presidential candidate, have reportedly backed out and would no longer attend the event.

The pair was supposed to entertain fans alongside the former governor of Anambra, who is slated to speak at a rally in the South-South state today.

Aisha Yesufu, a social activist and member of the LP campaign team, announced on Twitter that the singers were unable to attend the event due to ‘unforeseen circumstances.’

She wrote: “Due to some unforseen circumstances PSquare will not be able to join the Peter Obi rally in Uyo. My apologies . @rudeboypsquare and ⁦@PeterPsquare will be joining us in the coming days.”

A Tweep who was angry about the change in plan took to the comment section to slam P-square saying that they are hypocrites as they only support Peter Obi will words and not actions.

Aisha quoted the tweet and defended the music duo saying that the unforeseen circumstances came from her side, not theirs and stated that she should be blamed for the situation.

“Stop this!PSquare @rudeboypsquare and @PeterPsquare were ready to do everything to be there. The unforeseen circumstances came from myself not from them. If you want to blame anyone, blame me.”
