Femi Kuti and Asa Deliver a Magnificent Collaboration in Honor of Fela
Femi Anikulapo Kuti was joined on stage by prolific French-Nigerian singer-songwriter Asa to perform a mind-blowing performance.
In the spirit of Felabration, a celebration of the legacy of Afrobeat Pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti, whose 2022 edition was held from October 10th to 16th, at the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos, Fela’s eldest son, Femi Kuti, performed alongside Asa for the people of France prior to the annual celebration.
The Arte Performance saw the duo celebrate the Abami Eda on October 8th, 2022 at the Philarmonie De Paris concert hall in Paris, France.
While Femi wowed the audience with a spiritual performance, he was joined on stage by his son, Made Kuti, who added a youthful and vibrant spice to the mix, before Asa joined in to round out the combo.
Asa had a solo performance of her smash tune “Jailer”, after which Femi rejoined her to perform his classic tune “Sorry Sorry” and n the sight was too beautiful to see.

The 2022 edition of Felabration, with activities that include an artwork competition, dance competition, fashion show, symposium, debates, and a 7-day music concert, ended on, Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Organisers of the music, art, and fashion festival confirmed that the 2022 edition with the theme ‘Fear not 4 man,’ has the highest number of attendance.
A total of 300 music acts performed at the concert, which began on Monday, October 10, and culminated at a high crescendo on Sunday, October 16.
Further investigation proved that at least 30 music acts from different genres of music thrill attendees of the music festival daily.
Some of the music acts that performed at the show include Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Omawumi, Edaoto, Shanko Rashid, Sule Alao Malaika, Candy Bleakz, Terry G, Rema, Remi Aluko, Styl-plus, Ara, Faze, and Neo Phlames amongst several others.
