“Damn” by Omah Lay tops Apple Music despite his new album.
It seems many music lovers have decided to do a little throwback today as “Damn” by Omah Lay resurfaces and tops Apple Music despite the release of his new album, “Boy Alone”.
Omah Lay finally released his highly anticipated debut album, “Boy Alone” on the 25th of Friday, 2022.
The fourteen-track project features Justin Bieber and Tay Iwar and had producers like P2J, Tempoe, P-Priime, Niphkeyz, Semzi, among others.
While others have been praising the projects, others have decided to revisit Omah’s previous discography, especially his 2020 song, “Damn” which is currently topping the Nigeria Apple Music Top songs.
The Port-Harcourt singer released “Damn” in 2020 as part of his debut EP, “Get Layd” which shot him to popularity.
The song was one of the fans’ favourites from the project and has over 14 Million views on Youtube.
On the hand, his “Boy Alone” project is No 2 on the Nigeria Apple Music Top Albums with Burna Boy’s “Love Damini” at number one while Fireboy DML’s yet-to-be-released “Playboy” album follows in number three.

On the Nigeria Apple Music Top Songs, Burna Boy dominates the Top 10 position with 7 songs and Fireboy’s Bandana which features Asake is number 6 on the list.
Since Omah Lay rose to prominence in 2020 with the release of his hit single ‘You‘, the boy has kept the same momentum churning out even better records just as he did with his omnivorous extended play, “Get Layd” and the follow-up, “What Have You We Done.”
