Ghanaian superstar Stonebwoy has won his fourth AFRIMA award, beating out top African artists to bag the “Best Artiste, Duo or Group, African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall” category at the recently concluded AFRIMA.
The Ghanaian afro-dancehall sensational singer Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy has won his fourth AFRIMA after beating top African stars to secure the “Best Artiste, Duo or Group, African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall” award at the just ended AFRIMA.
The “Activate” hitmaker, who was nominated among fellow artists A2 Di Fulani (Gambia), Bebe Cool (Uganda), EXQ ft. Tock Vibes (Zimbabwe), Mykey Shewa (Ethiopia), Nutty O (Zimbabwe), Patoranking (Nigeria), Rosa Ree (Tanzania), Ruger (Nigeria), and Shatta Wale (Ghana), won the coveted trophy which was held in Lagos on November 21, 2021, at the Convention centre Eko Hotel and Suites.
Stonebwoy becomes the first African Reggae and Dancehall artiste to win the “Best Artiste, Duo or Group, African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall” category for the fourth time, and three times in a row, adding to his outstanding and enviable collection of awards (2015, 2018, 2019, 2021).
Due to the emergence of COVD-19, the 2020 edition has been cancelled.

Recall, The Ghanaian star sings ragga in Jamaican Patois (Patwa or Patwah) and is known as a “multifaceted musician” because of his diverse musical styles. He got several honours and nominations in 2015, including “Artist of the Year” and “Album of the Year.”
His sophomore album Necessary Evil has received three Ghana Music Awards out of six nominations.
The My Name crooner was named Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards and Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 BET Awards.
He has also been awarded two Billboard awards. He’s been dubbed the “King of African Reggae and Dancehall Artists.”
