Senator Ben Ayade, the Governor of Cross Rivers State, has appointed Nigerian Artiste, Iyanya as a senior special adviser.
Iyanya was named as an aide to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers State, along with 26 others. On the 1st of September 2021, a statement to this effect was released.
Christian Ita, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, issued the statement. It validated Iyanya’s employment as a state governor’s aide, along with 26 others.
Iyanya has subsequently updated his Instagram bio to reflect his new status.

He wrote, “Snr. Special Adviser @sirbenayade, CRS Gov.”
Iyanya hasn’t released any new music in a while, but he’s still working on a new album, which he’s been hinting at for months.
He also recently appeared in Oritse Femi’s new single and video, Number 1, which he co-wrote.
