Wizkid was reportedly approached by Justin Bieber concerning the remix of the mega-hit “Essence.”
The chart-topping ‘Essence,’ which initially featured Tems, is a song from Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos‘ album, and it was given a well-deserved remix on August 13, 2021, which included Justin Bieber as a fresh addition to the song.
The American monthly magazine Rollingstone recently released an article that outlined how the original ‘Essence‘ was made, as well as how the remix was created.
According to the magazine, Justine Bieber’s A&R Tay James introduced him to the song on a vacation trip, and it immediately became the singer’s favourite tune, to the point where they played it all weekend.
Tay James took solid moves on the song by speaking with Wizkid’s North American agent, Mike G, regarding the prospect of getting Justin Bieber to sing on it.
