On Shazam in the United States, ‘Essence‘ has climbed to number two.
This comes just a few days after the smash hit’s debut at No. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Billboard Charts’ official Twitter account confirmed the news.
‘Essence‘ debuted at No. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week ending July 17th, according to their post. Tems‘ first appearance on the charts was also confirmed by them.
The song also made Apple Music Top 50 in the United States in July as well, It was the first African song to reach the top 30.

The official music video surpassed 10 million views in June. The video has over fifteen million views as of this writing.
The song has also surpassed forty Million views on Apple Music according to a post by Wizkidnews on Instagram.
