In 2020, Nigerian singer Wizkid released one of the best projects of the year when he finally dropped Made In Lagos. Even in 2021, the album is still receiving its well-deserved attention.
Made In Lagos is a well-put-together dish from Wizkid that features collaborations with singers like Tems, Tay Iwar, Ella Mai, H.E.R, and others that houses a lot of catchy songs.
Last Year, “Ginger” and “Smile” was its hottest songs and this year, “Essence” is its leading track, even making history as the first Nigerian Song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
While everyone can agree that the album is flawless and jam-packed with bangers, there are a few songs that haven’t received the proper attention they deserve.

So here are 5 Songs from “Made In Lagos” that deserve more replay;
Reckless
One important aspect of an album is usually its intro or the first song that opens it, the duty of first impressions falls on this song and “Reckless delivers”.
Made In Lagos opens with the song Reckless, which does an excellent job of setting the tone, especially as it features a slower-paced Wizkid than we’re used to. This writer believes It’s one of the better album openers from 2020.
Longtime ft Skepta
There is something beautiful about Wizkid and Skepta collaborating on a song, I mean check out every of their collaboration, it’s always magic and “Longtime” isn’t excluded.
There’s something about their intensity and sounds that show they’d make a great match, and with Longtime, they proved this sentiment right.
Mighty Wine
Although the collaborations on Made In Lagos were well-considered and on tracks, the solos don’t disappoint, and Mighty Wine is one underrated solo on the album that has the potential to do more, maybe a music video would help bring more attention.
Gyrate
“Gyrate” is another hit solo that I feel is been overlooked. This is another Summer hit in the making, the song feels like trying a new dish one isn’t sure about but only to find out that it’s better than one imagined.

Grace
“Dem nuh fi run my race, Run my race, run my race,” Wizkid knows his onions and isn’t letting competition hold him down. “Grace” is the last track on the album, it’s a Caribbean inspired tune that just has Wizkid being his usual laid back self.
