Tiwa Savage shared the reason she left her former label, Mavin Records.
Tiwa Savage in an interview with media personality, Ebuka explained how she got into Mavins Records and why she left them.
According to her, she had to convince Don Jazzy before he signed her, when asked why she wanted to be under Don Jazzy, she said;
“Jazzy man, Who doesn’t want to work with Jazzy. To me, he develops artists. he is not just a record producer, he develops sounds. I saw what he did with Dr Sid, it was different from Wande Coal, which was different from D’prince, from D’banj. I’m seeing him creat stars, not just giving beats and I wanted someone to take me to that next level”
She said joining the label was her best decision and they were like family. She shared how they used to gather in the studio, encouraging themselves and watching old clips of Micheal Jackson and Whitney Houston singing.
