It’s been three years since Adekunle Gold released his popular body of work, the masterpiece, titled About 30!
The Afro Urban, “About 30” project consists of 16 artistically crafted tracks, sung by Adekunle Gold and we have decided to highlight 5 evergreen songs from this album.
Ire
This emotional song is the lead single from the album and arguably the best of all tracks on it. According to Gold, this soul song is dedicated to his late younger sister, who passed away on health conditions.
Lyrically, this song is loaded, instrumentals aren’t backing out either.

Money
This Pheelz-produced single is another evergreen tune with catchy lyrics and beat. Gold stresses the need to be financially independent and how God should bless him with plenty of it.
Enjoy this amazing song with me as we top up the streaming numbers to 2 million+!
Pablo Alakori
Gold tells the story of a lazy man (Pablo) who refuses to work, rather prefers begging. The song serenades around champagne poppers, lavish spenders amid other youthful exuberances.
As a matter of fact, it’s a wake-up call to young minds to get their hands on the right hustle and stop looking for quick money.
Though no video has been shot for the single, however, the audio is still on point.
Damn Delilah
Here is another tune I personally enjoy from the album. While addressing the issue of betrayal, Gold employs the attribution of Samson and Delilah from the Bible stories. Well, this song is exceptional and intelligently sung!

Surrender
This tune is definitely not on average with those instrumentals supported by Adekunle’s vocals.
The video is another creative part that isn’t widely discussed! However, it is brilliant and interesting.
